Work - Life Balance

The job I'm in belongs to the advertising industry and as we all know, life in advertising isn't as easy as falling off a log. If you ask me to describe my job it'll be like this, "STRESSFUL, TIRING  but ALL WORTH IT (when the client is happy or if the event is really successful)"

They say everyone needs to have a work-life balance but that's not the case for me, I have no (or very little) differentiation between my personal life and my work. And I really don't mind it. Why? Because my work is (a huge part of) my life and because my work is my passion.

I've tried working in those jobs that imprisons you to a 4x4 cubicle and work in front of the PC for 8 hours, 5 days a week, piles of unnecessary paper works and the result? Excruciating pain in my creative senses, and to think I only lasted for 6 months.

I am and never have been the type of person who wants to be locked up in a small space doing the same thing day after day. I want to be free, I want to speak my mind, I want a lot of space where I can learn and grow.

Being in the advertising industry is stressful but it challenges me, it helps me learn new things and meet different people. At a young age, I've been to meetings and work side by side with high ranking officers of company. Your usual cubicle-clerical-stuck in an office job wont give me an opportunity like that not unless I've been in that company for what? 10-20 years.

I honestly consider myself lucky because not all people can last in this industry and I am way past my "honeymoon stage" where everything is easy and I love everything thats happening. I admit its not a walk in the park, everything has its pros and cons but it is very satisfying.

That's why my 9 to 5 never gets boring.
