Its been 1 week and a day since I gave birth to one of the best things that happened to my life - a 5 lbs 2 ounces of perfection.

Labor
I was admitted at the hospital at around 1am on May 16.
I wasn't in much pain during that time so I was still able to put on some
decent clothes and wear a little bit of make up (yeah, its so Kourtney Kardashian of me). I texted my bestfriend so we waited for her to arrive at my house before going to the hospital.

So here's the blow by blow of what happened to me when I was inside.
- 2:00 AM - my contractions are getting stronger and closer together, I was 3cm dilated around this time.
- I was closely monitoring my baby's heart rate and my contractions during that time. It was pretty boring inside the labor suite.
- 5:30 AM - my water broke. 4cm dilated.
- by this time I started to countdown the hours since the baby should be already out in not more than 6 hours or else there will be a lot of complications for the both of us.
- Then around 9AM (wild guess) nurses put on some sedative in my IV that really knocked my out.
- 11:30AM - 6cm dilated. Even feel like baby's about to come out. (just imagine the pain!)
- Next thing I know I was told by my doctor that I have to go to the operating room and they need to perform C-Section.
What happened during the time I was knocked out: My baby's heart rate went flat for a while that was why when I woke up (from what seems like a very long sleep) I already have oxygen attached and all that other stuff. [my best friend and parents told me this when they transferred me to my room, I almost lost my baby Gabby]
Hello Baby!
At the operating room I was half awake and half asleep and VERY groggy from all the meds they've been putting in my epidural and IV. And the next thing I hear was,
"Baby out, 1:45pm" then I heard my baby's cry, then the nurses showed me the baby, could not tell what she looks like because I was so groggy because of the amount of anesthesia they put me on. Although I heard my doctor and anesthesiologist saying how cute my baby was and that her eyes are so big and open already.

Recovery
What I asked when I was transferred to my room, "What day is it?" I really thought it was May 17 already. but it was just 5pm of May 16.
I was in the hospital for 3 days, and in those three days I was visited by my family and close friends.

The First Week
Its been an incredible 7 days. She's been an angel, not much of a crier always smiles and makes me laugh when she does that wide eyed pouty face. She's so adorable and
masungit at the same time. So far she's not giving me a hard time taking care of her, which is really good since I'm still recovering from the C-section stitches.
