Yun naman talaga ang number 1 problem sa Pilipinas - Corruption. It's like everyone here is too greedy and wants easy money. Hindi naman sa nagmamalinis, I too want easy money, but I still have conscience, if I was in the same situation, I might consider taking the money. But then again, sa Manila pa lang ang dami na tao ang nakatira lang sa kalsada that would be good beneficiaries of the taxes that I pay, eh paano pa kaya sa rural areas na kahit electricity wala sila?
Kahit naman kasi alisin ang pork barrel, whether we want it or not, the system needs it. If mawala man ang Pork Barel or PDAF, lalabas at lalabas pa din yan sa government system just on a different name. People should understand what pork barel really is. Again, the problem is the people handling it not the system.
Tapos may mga tangang tao pa na nagsasabi na dapat wala na lang taxes. Oh social media, you make me laugh. Taxes help our country para umunlad, again, they are initially made with good intentions. Kung walang taxes where do you expect the government will get the funds para ayusin ang roads, build more bridges for easier transportation, good tourism, etc.? Sa sarili nilang bulsa? I don't think so. I'm okay with paying taxes, just as long as I can see where my taxes go. Again, ang mali are the corrupt people who are handling the system, kaya wala napapala taxes natin.
Everything boils down to the people and not the system. What the government should do is expel those who were blinded by greed and prosecute everyone who's in the position and guilty of corruption. Educate the Filipinos of the government system and not the type of education that they teach the students at school but the kind where people of the Philippines actually learn something that is necessary. Once Filipinos are educated well enough, hindi na sila magpapaloko sa mga gagong pulitiko.
